Welcome artists!
I am looking forward to working with each of you! Our course is set up by Units based on our district curriculum. Each unit will be one or two weeks. As the quarter progresses, I will open the Units. Always look at the calendar in Schoology, weekly communication, and due dates.
Each Unit will contain a combination of the following:
- Activities and Projects to Complete
- Assessments to Check for Knowledge
- Units of Instruction
What does a Typical Week Look Like?
Each week, I will send out a communication outlining our week. Always navigate to the current Unit Folder. The unit folder will include all of the content, interactive elements, knowledge checks, and unit activities. Students will return to this folder throughout the week to continue content and activities.
The due date for all weekly assignments will be outlined within the assignment. The expectation for this course is to work about 20-40 minutes every day. The total time is about two to three hours a week at home for our course while in online learning.
Course Due Dates
Due dates for our class are important. Because we don't have an actual "class" every day, be sure to schedule all due dates for the week on your calendar or planner. If you use a Smartphone, you might think about adding reminders to help you stay on track!
If you plan to go on vacation, a field trip, sporting events, or anything that takes you out of school - plan ahead and get things turned in before the deadline. Our course deadlines will not be adjusted. Communication is essential and up to the individual student. Please know that if you fall behind in art class I will work with you and your parents to ensure that you get caught up.
